The Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Writers’ Challenge is a writing contest which was borne out of a collaboration between Raheem Tajudeen Abiola, a 300level student of Computer Science Department and the office of the current Tai Solarin University of Education Students Union (TASUEDSU) Vice President, Lady Comr. Samuel Omowunmi finally comes to an end on the 9th of September, 2020.

The challenge, which ran for twenty-one (21) days started on 19th of August 2020, with over ninety (90) registered participants at the initial stage. They were from across departments and colleges in Tai Solarin University of Education.

However, as will always be the case, some participants could not make it farther in the cause. Some thirty-two (32) participants only made it to the semifinals and just twelve (12) among them proceeded to the final stage.The twelve (12) finalists proved themselves to be extraordinarily exceptional and put in all to win the challenge.

The adjudication critically done by a four-man committee consisting of Mr. Teslim Orolade (Tomsk University, Russia), Ms. Gift Innocent (Biological science, TASUED), Ms. Oluwatomisin Ojekunle (Creative Arts, TASKED) and Mr. Abdul-Mumin Abdul-Quadir (English Studies, TASUED) has proffered the points of the participants in the final lap of the challenge.

Matanmi Quadri- English and literary Studies- 89%. 

Taiwo Omolola Rebecca- Physics -61%

Oladimeji Usman- Educational management- 79%

Akinpelu Grace Abisola-Biological science -63%

Ogungbenro Solomon Muyiwa-49%

Sanusi Wasiu Olabisi- History and diplomatic Studies -83%

Damilola Oluwashola- English and literary Studies -58%

Adekunle Oreoluwa Eunice-56%

Nofiu Latifat – Economics -80%
